About Global Alliance For A Healthy Society

GAHSO is a youth-led non-governmental organization founded in 2016 to facilitate all round empowerment of vulnerable and marginalized communities in Kenya. GAHSO has a presence in Bondo Sub County in Siaya County, and in Tido in Kisumu East Sub County. GAHSO’s main objective is to support vulnerable and marginalized communities, in particular the youth, persons with disabilities, women, children and people injecting drugs in the sectors of health - public health services (including hygiene, epidemiology, and disease prevention); Education; Sustainable livelihoods (including climate-smart agriculture); and empowerment of the vulnerable and marginalized especially adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) and children. Besides, programmatic work, GAHSO is also promoting and advocating for social, legal, cultural, and economic inclusivity particularly for the marginalized population in the society.
