About KEAN International

KEAN International is a non-profit bringing together climate and environmental leadership across Afrika, and with the global community. Kheri is a Swahili word that means, “Goodness”. We are spreading the seeds of goodness in the climate and environmental landscapes in Afrika and beyond. Our vision was planted on the fertile Afrikan soils in 2020, with the intention to support the climate and environmental movements. Over the years, we have grown to deliver impact programming on-the-ground and across the region. From the Afrika Youth Caravan to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)’s to Bustani Gardens, Technology for Nature-based Solutions (NbS) projects to Farmer-Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR) pilots, #AfrikaIsNotADumpster campaign to Climate Change Policy youth engagements. We continue to explore ways we can centre Afrikan communities and the solutions they bring, while respecting their dignity and their authentic solutions. We believe that when we bring meaningful engagements together, we enable collaborations that help us create strong institutions, resilient communities, and create regenerative legacies for the planet. We are united by our zeal for collective and individual actions to deliver solutions to the climate, ecosystems and community crises.
