Intervention Areas
Target Population
Problem Statement
Young women and GBV survivors face economic dependency, trauma, and harmful cultural practices like FGM and early marriage. These barriers prevent them from achieving self-sufficiency and assertiveness.
Proposed Solution
The solution involves business skills training, financial literacy, legal clinics for GBV victims, nutritional education, and the creation of community role models (ToTs) to drive social advocacy.
Expected Impact
Expected impacts include economic empowerment through small business startups, improved mental health, reduced teen pregnancies, and a community shift away from harmful cultural practices.
Sustainability Plan
Beneficiaries are guided to register as CBOs and Self-Help Groups. These groups will engage in income-generating activities and table banking, ensuring long-term financial independence and peer support.
