Target Population

Low-Income Individuals & FamiliesVulnerable or Marginalized Populations (General)

Problem Statement

Enkusero residents travel long distances for water, and wildlife competition for scarce sources leads to conflict. The lack of accessible water threatens community livelihoods and safety.

Proposed Solution

Construct a small dam on 10 acres of unfenced land to serve three sub-locations. This centralized water source will cater to both community livestock and wildlife needs.

Expected Impact

Reliable water access for 600 families, reducing travel time. Mitigation of human-wildlife conflict by providing dedicated water sources. Enhanced peaceful coexistence and community resilience.

Sustainability Plan

The project is community-driven with full representation from local leadership and conservancy management. This ensures local ownership and maintenance of the water infrastructure.
