Problem Statement

Ganze suffers from chronic food insecurity due to erratic rainfall and reliance on maize. High poverty levels and water scarcity lead to malnutrition and dependency on relief food.

Proposed Solution

Distribute drought-tolerant crops and train farmers in climate-smart agriculture and value addition. Establish water harvesting systems and business development services for market access.

Expected Impact

Improved food security and household incomes for 300 farmers. Enhanced community resilience to drought and reduction in malnutrition through diversified agricultural livelihoods.

Sustainability Plan

Farmers are organized into producer business groups to manage marketing and value addition. Income from processed products and seed banking will sustain production beyond the grant period.
