In this project we will be collaborating with the constituency office of the Member of Parliament for North Horr, we will also be partnering with the Kenya Network Information Centre as well as Riara University.

Project Summary

This initiative digitizes 53 schools in North Horr Constituency by providing official websites, digital repositories, and management tools. It bridges the digital divide in arid regions, enhancing educational administration and visibility.

Problem Statement

Schools in Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs) lack digital resources and connectivity, limiting their competitiveness and student opportunities. They struggle with effective stakeholder communication and resource management.

Proposed Solution

Develop digital transformation strategies for schools, including official websites and digital communication tools. Provide training to staff on utilizing these platforms for administration and learning.

Expected Impact

Improved student learning outcomes and teacher efficiency. Enhanced communication with parents and partners. Greater visibility for schools to attract donors and support.

Sustainability Plan

The school websites include dedicated advertising spaces for third-party organizations. Revenue generated from these paid communication spaces covers maintenance costs, ensuring financial sustainability.
