Problem Statement

Young mothers in Homa Bay suffer from economic dependency, food insecurity, and exploitation. Lack of income forces many into transactional sex, perpetuating poverty and health risks.

Proposed Solution

Provide vocational training, financial literacy, and business startup grants. Establish kitchen gardens for food security and offer psycho-social support for mental health.

Expected Impact

Increased household income and financial independence for young mothers. Improved nutrition and health outcomes. Reduction in exploitative economic relationships and enhanced social status.

Sustainability Plan

Sustainability is built on self-sustaining business models and savings groups. Kitchen gardens provide ongoing food security, while integration with government programs ensures long-term institutional support.
