Project Summary

This project establishes a model climate-smart agroecology farm as a community learning center. It empowers youth through practical agriculture training while providing nutritious food, creating employment, and generating income to sustain operations and fight food insecurity.

Problem Statement

Food insecurity, climate change impacts, and a negative perception of agriculture among youth contribute to a lack of skills and employment in the sector.

Proposed Solution

Establish a model climate-smart agroecology farm to serve as a learning center for students and community members, integrating 4-K Clubs and CBC.

Expected Impact

Increased youth employment in farming, improved access to nutritious food, and establishment of a community agricultural resource center.

Sustainability Plan

The project will generate funds from selling vegetables, fish, and training services to sustain and upscale operations.
