N/AAbout Golden Age Albinism Support and Protection Program
Gaaspp Kenya was established in 2019 with a humble 25 people with albinism and 50 aged person in Webuye, Bungoma county, Kenya. Over the years weve grown to support over 250 people with albinism and 2200 aged person along with supporting young mothers (underage girls with children that come from very poor backgrounds). We now operate in over 7 counties namely: Bungoma, Siaya, Trans-Nzoia, Homabay, Kakamega, Busia and Migori. At Gaaspp our primary focus lies in the protection human lives and rights of people with albinism, the old aged and underage mothers along with environmental conservation to combat climate change in the areas we operate from. We are deeply committed to addressing the complex challenges faced by our target group ranging from economic discrimination, human rights violation, death and death threats targeted at people living with albinism as their body parts are used in rituals, lack of education to the underage mothers, social discrimination and mental health issues related to the discrimination that our target group faces.
