About Hands of Help Children's Organization

Hands of Help Children’s Organization (HHCO) is a social community based organization that was founded to cater for and promote the welfare of the less privileged children in the informal settlement of Baba Dogo, Nairobi- Kenya. The local community that HHCO serves is a slum area with many challenges. Many children in the community do not have access to necessities such as food, clothing, and education. The community is also a high-risk area for teenage pregnancy and gender-based violence and school drop-out due to the capacities of the parents/ guardians to pay school fees for their children. . HHCO’s purpose is to provide educational resources, mentorship, and psychosocial support to children in need. The organization’s goals are to: (a. )Provide educational resources to children in need such as books, school uniforms, shoes and other learning materials. (b.)Provide mentorship and leadership development to children in need to develop their skills, abilities and talents. (c.) Provide psychosocial support to children in need to cope with the challenges they face. (d.) Advocate against teenage pregnancy and menstrual health and hygiene training (e.) Provide guidance against gender-based violence (d.) Provide a haven – a child safe place: conducive environment for remedial learning, training and digital learning platform. HHCO is committed to making a difference in the lives of the children in the community. The organization believes that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their circumstances. The organization’s goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where children can thrive. HHCO’s programs and services are designed to help children develop their skills and talents, learn about their rights, and build resilience. The organization believes that by providing children with the resources they need, they can break the cycle of poverty and violence and build a better future for themselves and their families.
