About HavenPay
HavenPay is a fintech platform built to solve the structural exclusion of displaced populations from the formal financial system. Forced displacement creates an identity crisis where skilled, economically active refugees are stripped of the documentation necessary to open bank accounts, forcing them to pay a "poverty tax" of 10-20% on every transaction to predatory middlemen.
HavenPay fills this gap by leveraging the Kenyan government-issued alien card as valid, bank-grade KYC. Operating through a licensed Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) partner, we provide a full product suite including digital wallets, affordable remittances, and credit products based on transactional behavior data.
With Kenya's Shirika Plan slated to move over 700,000 refugees into urban areas from 2026 onwards, HavenPay is positioned to be their financial partner from day one
