Lea Mathare Foundation

Lea Mathare Foundation provides accessible and quality education for children in Mathare, one of Nairobi’s informal settlements. Our programs focus on early childhood and primary education, ensuring that children aged 3 to 10 years old receive foundational learning in a safe and supportive environment. Beyond education, we address child welfare by providing daily meals through our school feeding program, learning materials, and a structured sponsorship program that covers essential school expenses. Our feeding program ensures that students receive nutritious breakfasts and lunches on school days, directly impacting their ability to learn and grow. We also engage with the local community, working closely with families, teachers, and supporters to create a sustainable and nurturing educational space.
