About Mayflower Children's Support Network

ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND Mayflower Children’s Foundation was initially founded in London as Mayflower Africa Foundation. It was later established in Kenya as Mayflower Children’s Foundation in March 12th 2021 and later as Mayflower Children's Support Network in January 31st 2024 . Our goal is to improve children's welfare through financial, moral, and physical support. We achieve this through a variety of means, including donations, personal contributions, monthly campaigns, and community support. We have had the privilege to serve various local communities by visiting their schools and children shelter homes. Among the places visited are; Makimei Children’s home in Kikuyu; Kenya, Kinyor Yesu School in Narok; Kenya and Nairobi Children’s Remand Center in Lower Kabete; Kenya and many others. MISSION The mission of our foundation to children is to improve and maintain a healthy and independent lifestyle and to enhance their quality of life by providing most vulnerable children a nurturing and sustained relationship with a mentor who teaches positive values and has attainable expectations for each child to become healthy, productive members of the community. VISION Our vision is that one day all children will have a long-term, consistent relationship with a caring adult who believes in them. We want to change the way the world views and treats our most vulnerable children. Our three-pronged purpose is as follows: 1. Promote dignity and self-esteem. 2. Foster independence and self-determination. 3. Facilitate social interaction and involvement in community life.
