About One More Day For Children Foundation Kenya

One More Day for Children exists to ensure that the remaining responsibility to realize a safe and secure society for children to grow in, develop and prosper has been achieved. This responsibility defines our mission and vision. Founded in 2009 as a Community Based Organization in Laikipia District before promulgation of constitution of Kenya 2010 and later got registered Under Societies Act in 2011 as a Charitable Foundation, One More Day for Children is an organization that assists, enables and empowers young people especially Girls from especially pastoralist communities, Children in need of care and protection ,marginalized and poor communities to improve their life circumstances. We have a Safe House known as One More Day Girls` Safe house in Laikipia North for under 18 yrs girls rescued from FGM, Child marriages, Crude abortions and other sexual and gender based violence. Over 3,000 survivors have passed through the shelter, rehabilitated and empowered through education and legal representation. This mission of love was born out of philanthropists’ professionals from different ethnic background and in Litigation, social work, Child Protection, Health, Development, Gender and Administration on the principals of Child`s Rights and Protection.
