Re-Imagining New Communities is a peacebuilding and communication organization based in Kenya. The organization serves four main groups of people and institutions- children, teachers, primary schools, and churches. These individuals and institutions share a common thread they have experienced or witnessed violence within their families or communities. The children, often the most vulnerable, bear the emotional scars of such trauma, impacting their well-being and hindering their development. Teachers face the challenge of managing classrooms affected by violence, while primary schools struggle to create safe and nurturing environments. Churches, deeply embedded in community life, grapple with the task of fostering harmony amid prevalent violence. Our foundational principles are lies in the unwavering commitment to inclusivity and the tireless advocacy for marginalized communities. Our efforts are deeply entrenched in the pursuit of long-term, sustainable change. Guided by a multifaceted team equipped with a diverse toolkit encompassing peacebuilding, mediation, communication, social change, as well as the orchestration of community dialogues and localized interventions, Re-Imagining New Communities is primed to provide a comprehensive suite of capabilities. In collaboration with churches, schools, and local CBOs, we endeavor to co-create environments that foster resilience, promote conflict resolution, and nurture leadership skills. By doing so, we aim to catalyze enduring positive transformation within these vital community institutions, in alignment with broader developmental objectives.
