Liveihood VICOCAP has contributed significantly to poverty reduction, especially among vulnerable women. Women who form a sizeable population of poor people in Kibera, Nairobi County, and the counties of Nyamira and Homabay are characterized with dependency on men and other well-wishers. Given the opportunity for self-sustaining initiative, this population has proved viable in terms of reducing overall poverty and dependency. With regard to improving overall performance of the small businesses, VICOCAP has organized the vulnerable women into groups of between 10-12 women. The organization facilitates the registration of the groups with the government and also assists them to open group bank accounts. VICOCAP continues training the women on business finance, entrepreneurship, loan management, psycho-social support, and table banking among other trainings. VICOCAP also links the registered groups to devolved government funds like UWEZO fund, Women enterprise fund and Youth enterprise fund for access to affordable credit facilities. The organization runs a revolving fund where the women save at least Kshs 200 per week from their business profits and advances. The women access some affordable credit from the revolving fund to boost their small businesses. The organization pursues viable partnerships to build on this capital. Education VICOCAP continues to support needy children in holistic child development in areas of sports, school fees sponsorship, talent nurturing and spiritual growth. Each year, VICOCAP will provide low interest education loans payable directly to the school account so as to ensure uninterrupted school session Disability Inclusion
