Intervention Areas
Target Population
Problem Statement
High feed costs limit the profitability of poultry/rabbit farming for youth/women, while unemployment and lack of capital hinder economic empowerment.
Proposed Solution
Train youth/women in BSF production and feed formulation, and provide infrastructure (greenhouse, solar) to reduce input costs and increase farm profitability.
Expected Impact
Increased knowledge in feed formulation, reduced production costs, improved incomes from diverse products (meat, eggs, feed), and better living standards.
Sustainability Plan
The project operates as a social enterprise run by a youth-led self-help group, generating income from the sale of produce and feeds.
