Problem Statement

In Kenya, mental health is stigmatized and under-resourced, with 63% associating it with witchcraft. This leads to isolation, discrimination, and a lack of access to care for millions.

Proposed Solution

The project trains advocates to craft compelling personal narratives that humanize mental health. It establishes a Lived Experience Speaker Bureau to amplify voices and influence systemic change.

Expected Impact

Impacts include reduced societal stigma, empowerment of advocates, workplace well-being, and policy shifts toward rights-based mental health laws through informed decision-making.

Sustainability Plan

The project builds a self-sustaining network of local advocates and integrates into existing institutions (schools/workplaces). It diversifies funding through partnerships and offers paid expertise via the Speaker Bureau.
