Problem Statement

Youth in informal settlements like Huruma and Kariobangi face high unemployment, leading to increased crime, drug abuse, and radicalization. They lack access to affordable vocational training.

Proposed Solution

Recruit volunteer business owners to train youth through an apprenticeship model. Provide hands-on technical skills that lead directly to self-employment or job placement.

Expected Impact

Reduction in crime, drug abuse, and unwanted pregnancies. 200 trainees impacted with 20 already self-employed. Shift in youth mindset towards valuing technical skills.

Sustainability Plan

Graduates contribute to sustainability by reinvesting income and paying affordable fees for future trainees. The establishment of a production and exhibition center will generate revenue.
